Today was all about visiting friends and family...just a perfect theme for the season, don't you think?
We visited an old work associate and his family in Castro Valley and checked out our old stick and brick house. Kurt, Rose and their two daughters all look happy to be together for the holidays and our old home looks just the same as it did when we left. I can't say we miss one thing about the old place.
Juanita's mom warranted another visit and, while at her home in Alameda, we removed a few items from the small number of plastic bins we have stored in her attic. We will see her tomorrow for a Christmas dinner with one of Juanita's two brothers and his family.
My dear wife will cook up a pile of sour dough French toast for the grandkids and their parents early tomorrow morning and we will watch everyone open gifts before returning to Alamada for afternoon activities.
The weather was just fine today but another storm is predicted to roll through the area tonight and tomorrow. It doesn't look like the forecast weather will be quite as bad as some of the stuff that we have already experienced.
We want to take just a moment to thank all of our journal readers for riding along with us this year in our trucks cyber seat. We have a large Internet family, and we appreciate each and every one of you.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!
