They were excited at Villa Giglio to see us return. We were glad to be in a familiar place to pack up our bikes, take care of a few last minute errands, be able to follow the SF Giants in the World Series with our iGadget (thank you Howard, you have no idea how much the iGadget meant) and eat a tasty final meal at a restaurant where the owner of our guesthouse is the head chef.
Tomorrow we are heading home and there are hardly words to describe how wonderful this experience has been. There are so many special people in this world and we have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to interact with a number of them. We have visited places that we had never heard of before and now would love to return. We have seen incredible beauty, both natural and man made. And at every difficult stage along the way, there was someone to point us in the right direction. We are incredibly fortunate to have been able to take this journey, and equally fortunate to have a memory full of positive experiences.
Thank you for following along on our journey. We would also like to sincerely thank our families for their support and understanding. We know it is hard to have sons and daughters, brothers and sisters thousands of miles away in places that you have never heard of before, let alone places you have heard of and wonder "is it safe to be there?"
Thank you and best wishes to all of you in the new year.
