Me, Mom & Lori enjoying our meal and each other's company today...

Oh baby it's cold outside! We have icicles hanging from our home and our truck. Fortunately, the sun has been shining all day and it didn't snow again last night. Unfortunately, snow is predicted for tomorrow night although it's supposed to only be an inch or two. We are going through the propane and our little ceramic heater is working overtime but so far, so good. Nothing has cracked or leaked so we feel blessed. Mom is trying to finish up all of her 'chores' so that we can all head for warmer weather by the end of next week.

We had a very nice Thanksgiving, although we all missed Dad this year. Lori and Marion joined us and, like I'm sure many of you, I ate just a bit too much. We had an early meal so that we could enjoy our pie later in the day. Most years I wind up passing on the pie as I'm just too full from the meal. I passed on the pumpkin and tried the Key Lime today. Pretty good, but a bit tart for me. I really prefer apple pie I think.

After dinner we played a rousing game of Pokeno. Good thing we had a BIG container with pennies as I didn't do very well. Mom won the two biggest bowls on the final round, so I think she won the most, although I know Larry won a bit too. Lori, Marion & I were the losers for today. Ah well, maybe next time.

Hope you all have an enjoyable weekend and if you are out traveling, please travel safe. The roads are a bit scary right now! I've noticed several cars slipping and sliding around town, guess they don't know how to drive in the snow. I try to stay well in front or behind (not beside) those crazies!!!
