Trying to get to Yosemite Lodge in time for the tram today but Gene's shoulder was bothering him. Found a chiropractor that would take him and was able to get an adjustment. Decided to go to Glacier Point today and booked the tram for Yosemite Valley for tomorrow. We stopped on the way to the park and rode on a little narrow gauge train car through the wooded, mountain area. Then continued into the park. We get held up every day because they are paving the road in the park. We wait for up to a half hour in a line and then when the road opens, they lead us through the work area. We also got stopped going in the Glacier Point road while they were cutting up a huge tree and removing it. Arrived at Glacier Point which is very high above the valley floor. There is an overlook where we saw the hotels and parking lots below us a long, long, long way down! We were across from Half Dome, a huge mountain peak and could see the climbers on the side of it. It was amazing to see for miles and miles. We got back on the the twisting road home and waited for more construction. Arrived back in Oakhurst and ate at Todd's BBQ, then back to the hotel.
