Today, we left Kingman to visit the Old West Town of Oatman, AZ. Oatman is located about 30 miles west of Kingman on old Route 66. Route 66 is part of the original Route 66 and this stretch of road leading to Oatman is quite curvy. Enroute to Oatman we saw three wild burros down off the road. Oatman has wild burros that roam the streets and are fed by the visitors with either apples or carrots. There are signs warning people that the burros are wild and will kick or bite. There are at least two wild west shows daily by the Oatman Outlaws, who collect donations for the Shriners Hospital. There may be other shows by "Chamber of Commerce" personnel and today was one of those days. It was quite a nice ride and an enjoyable day at Oatman. Enroute back to Kingman, we saw two more wild burros along the route.
