Walking in desert

Took a side trip to Pyramid Lake today, it's one of the largest lakes in the US and is included in the National Scenic Byways - the lake is inside the Pyramid Lake Paiute Indian Reservation. After driving 40 miles across the desert it is a welcome relief to see the lake but certainly isn't any thing special.

We stopped by the local museum but it was closed for Labor Day - this was Tuesday the day after?

We did get stuck during an off road excursion and I had to get out and push, sorry no pictures, but I did get a face full of Nevada desert dust.
