Downtown Halifax

And A Sampling After The Tour!

The Red Stag Inn

Halifax Citadel

First stop after the proverbial coffee was the Source to return the web cam we had picked up yesterday, it had conflicting issues! We then headed into downtown Halifax and our waterfront parking lot of the other day. Down Water street we walked to Alexander Keith's brewery for a tour and tasting! The tour was pretty good but the tasting, I had their Dark Ale, was great! We then carried on down the waterfront to the Pier 21 Immigration Museum, the majority of the European immigrants to Canada came through Halifax and this building. A cruise ship had just docked and was unloading its passengers for their tour at this same time, so needless to say we postponed this for another day and headed back up the Waterfront Boardwalk, checking out all the sites and shops. We then drove up to the Halifax Citadel and spent about an hour walking around there. It was then onto MacDonald's for supper and back to the trailer. We've been watching the weather pretty intently as they are predicting Hurricane Earl to hit the Maritimes and Nova Scotia some time this weekend. No sense packing up and movin' on as we'd have to go one very long way to get out of it's proposed path.
