On our way to Anacortes, WA the carvan drove about an hour from Hope, BC and visited Minter Garden. This was a fabulous tour. The gardens are so beautiful - all the different displays and colors were breathtaking as you will see in the pictures. We walked through the gardens, luckily it was a nice sunny day. The hydrangeas were huge and such beautiful colors. There was a beautiful rose garden. So many interesting displays. After we left the gardens we proceeded towards the border crossing. We had to wait about 40 minutes and the border because there was quite a lineup of people crossing. While we were waiting it started pouring down rain and we had quite a storm while we were waiting. Luckily it didn't last too long. No problems at the border for us. We drove on towards our destination of Anacortes. We got on I-5 in Washington - a lot of traffic. After being in Canada and Alaska the traffic seems terrible - we are not used to so many cars and people. We arrived at the campground in early afternoon. Fidalgo Bay RV Resort is owned by the Samish Tribe and it on Puget Sound - very nice place. We drove into Anacortes and looked around, a very nice small city right on the Sound. A pretty restful day - quite a change.
