Jim and Connie's Northwest adventure travel blog

8/5/10

Today we went winery hopping again. These wineries were in Woodinville, WA. Two large wineries are located here, Chateau St. Michele and Columbia Valley. We discovered that lots of wineries have set up storefront tasting rooms in this town. They said they did this because this is where the traffic is. Several were from the Walla Walla area. We also went to a favorite of Jim’s (a micro brewery) Red Hook. We sampled a flight of beers and some chips and guacamole and salsa. We drove back toward the motorhome and decided to go to another of Ivar’s Restaurants. This one was on the dock at Mukilteo. Jim had salmon and I had a combination of small chunks of salmon, halibut, shrimp, scallops, prawns, mushrooms, and zucchini in a tarragon crab butter sauce. Both dinners were excellent. Why does salmon have to be strong in Ohio?
