We are still at Chinderah - we have extended our stay once and will be extending it again on Monday.
On Monday Barry had a really bad headache. We went to Coolangatta to do some banking, then the Pines shopping centre to try and get a refund from RACQ. Not good taking Barry into shopping centre with headache.....say no more! Spent the afternoon sitting by the river reading and gazing into space. Got very windy after we went to bed so were out trying to put the awning down in our pj's - no fun! Decided to move 'inland' to a warmer spot, which I found with some advice from one of our new neighbours.
On Tuesday we went for a drive. The plan was to do the tourist drive around Mount Warning, but we spent too long at Murwillumbah, that after Uki, we realised that it was going to get dark and we should turn around and head back.
Wednesday morning we packed up the bare necessities and Barry slowly towed Wendy around to our new spot. We have lovely neighbours here and it is very sheltered. This morning we thought we would sit on the riverbank for a while as there was not a breath of wind where we are and it was so warm - didn't stay long as it was cold and windy! We have only moved about 40 metres!!!
As a result of our move we spent Wednesday and Thursday sitting outside Wednesday reading and chatting to various neighbours (they have all been coming here for years, so I think they are enjoying having newbies around LOL). Apparently there are usually 160 Victorians in this park and this year there are only 40, which explains so many empty sites I guess.
Today we did manage to shake our tail feathers and go out. We went to Tweed Heads to the bank and then had a very late lunch. Now we are sitting reading - well Barry is and I will be shortly :)
We are planning to leave here on Wednesday and head to Ballina - as much as we are loving the place we are in and the sunshine, we do have to make a move down towards Melbourne.
Over and out
