Today we went to Anchorage to see the visitor's centers there. One was federal and we had to go through security to get in. We then walked down to the river to see if we could spot some fish, but all we saw was a fisherman and no fish. On the way back we stopped at the ulu factory. We got the Boyle-Wights a ulu and cutting board package as thanks for letting us borrow their van. Outside there was a guy giving out free reindeer hot dogs to costumers, they were really good. After getting to our car we drove to Turnagain Arm to look for beluga whales. The Arm is named that because people looking for a channel that really didn't exist had to turn again to get out. We didn't see belugas at either Beluga Point or Bird Point, further down the Arm. Bird Point did have concrete ones, though. From there we went onto the Kenai Peninsula where we spent the night at Upper Skilak Lake Campground. The drinking water came from a pump and Emily and I took turns pumping, it was a lot of fun. The lake was really clear and cold.
