Barry and Miranda's Pre Dementia Trip travel blog

We have found the warm sunny weather! On Monday we had a wander around the centre of Cleveland and Raby Bay. We then went to Cleveland Point where we had lunch outside on the deck by the water. When we got back we relaxed in the garden.

Yesterday we caught the 9am train to Brisbane and arrived at about 10. The first stop was the Ron Mueck exhibition at the Gallery of Modern Art. An amazing exhibition, which did not have a large number of exhibits, but that was fine as each exhibit was so amazing. A website of visitor photos is:

We then spent the rest of the day walking or on the ferry. We walked for miles and miles. Loved the floating footpath, but not so much when a big boat made it go up and down like an earthquake! We watched the big machines fixing the cliff face so that it would not fall down and walked along the Riverside boardwalk. We walked through the Queens Park and then decided to check out the museum. By 3.45 we agreed that it was time to catch the train and head back to Cleveland. We walked over the river 3 times on 3 different bridges, caught 2 ferries and had 2 train rides. Last night we went to the new RSL for dinner with Chris as Kaye was working a late shift.

Today Barry has gone exploring with his camera and I am sitting in the garden thinking about doing some cross stitch, but I might read my book instead :)

Over and out
