|The drive across southern NY to Garrattsville on Monday was beautiful. There were many rivers, lakes and ponds with thickly wooded mountains on both sides of the interstate. Well, they were more like big hills with the highest elevation around 2200 feet. The Jellystone Campground we are at is off the beaten path and very quiet. It is huge and we walked only half of it during our after dinner walk and looked at the pool and the sites on the west side of the lake that is in the middle of the campground. Even though the air temperature was in the low 70s, the heated pool felt cool when we dipped our hands in - decided that was too cold for a swim. We were actually able to sleep with the windows open tonight!
