Buffalo River State Park

Minnesota has a lot of state parks. The first one we had the pleasure of staying in was nice. Very wooded and only about 6 other campers in the whole section. The plus was that we even had electric. After a 6 hour ride we were able to take a nice walk along some trails that followed the river. Just what we needed after spending the day in the car. Good thing we got the walk in when we arrived as Thursday morning brought rain for us to pack up and leave.

I decided for our next trip I need to write down some of the funnier signs and names along the way. For example a big billboard sign in North Dakota said: “Richarton: visit our over 40 friendly businesses.” Does that mean that there are some unfriendly businesses you shouldn’t visit? And how are you going to know the difference? Or how about the liquor store’s name of “The Best Little Booze House”? Some people get quite creative with their names.
