Monday April 12th, we were up early and on the road shortly after 7:00 AM. We did not have internet access or satellite TV the night before so we felt a bit in the dark regarding the weather. Driving north along the I-15 we picked up various reports that a major winter storm was brewing and scheduled to hit Montana later that evening. At first, we planned on staying at Great Falls overnight but when we stopped for fuel just to the south of Great Falls the weather report was getting worse so we decided to drive another 80 miles to Shelby MT just 30 miles south of the Canada/US border. We arrived in Shelby around 4:30 PM and decided that it might be better to drive another 1 ½ hours and stop in Lethbridge for the night. So we drove on, crossing the border into Canada around 6:30 pm. Boy, it was a good feeling to be back in Canada. We stopped at an RV Park on the west side of Lethbridge relieved that if we happened to get storm stayed for a day or two, we would at least have better internet and cell phone coverage. All in all, we had driven for over 11 hours and travelled over 600 miles.
