Larry & Cheryl's 2010 Travels travel blog

Not too much sight seeing. Mike & Connie drove us around to show us some houses and 55+ golfing communities that they are interested in. We also took some time to go around with a realtor to look at houses in Maricopa again.

The second day we found "our house". OMG - it was perfect. Such a shame it was someone's loss to foreclosure. They put a lot of work into the landscaping (built in BBQ, stone and tilework in the back yard), expensive window treatments on all the windows. It was the perfect floorplan, 1500 sq ft, that we wanted and the bank was asking for a bid of $106 K. Our realtor called the handling agent who said the bank was not taking any more offers. On the market for 7 days, 3 offers full price or better, 1 was substancially over the asking price and CASH. Larry was ready to get into a bidding war, but the realtor said we could not.

Well, now he knows what we are looking for. The housing market in AZ is expected to take another downturn later this year, or early next, so we may still be in the market for a forclosure house.

Larry had to take our truck into Chandler, AZ to the Freightliner dealer to fix an air leak in our system. Everyone's allergies have kicked in giving us sinus headaches and sneezes. Still spending time with Mike & Connie shopping, touring the neighborhoods, dining out. We sure enjoy their company.
