We have seen all speed limits. Texas near El Paso was 80 mph and this morning when Herb drove into California the sign read trucks and vehicles towing speed limit 55 mph. We had to slow down for a inspection station for fruit and only asked what we had in the rig and then on we went. We also had to slow down for imigration inspection but didn't have to stop. The eastern side of California west of Yuma is completely sand dunes. The Winnebago towing the honda didn't even move the heat gauge a mark as we climbed up to 4,250 feet. Then at the top began the 6% downgrade. I can hardly wait to head east again for the climb! We had a short drive today 167 miles. We are only 1/2 mile from Interstate 8 but because of the canyons between here and there we can't hear the traffic in the campground.
