Pretty Damn Nice! travel blog

We are in town once again for chores and another trip to the dentist for me. I am so appreciative to have been able to get my teeth fixed and cleaned by Dr. Thiele here in Lompoc. I never thought I would say how thankful I was for a dentist but he and his staff are wonderful.

This morning, we said a sad goodbye to Craig and Colleen, who are heading back east and home. We have enjoyed getting to know them over the past month or so and will miss them. They are good people.

We were nicely surprised recently with a visit from my sis, Geri, and her husband, Alan, who despite having to deal with medical issues, made the trip from the Bay Area to Lompoc to see us. They are amazing and we are in awe of them. In our family, you can always count on my sis and Alan to attend every wedding, family get together, shower or graduation when possible, and my sis has never missed one of my son's birthday's or Christmas, to his delight. I have always relied on Nurse Jelten whenever I had a medical question. She has always been there for me and I am so grateful and thankful to have her as my sis. So, thanks you guys for coming to visit us. It was fun and by the way, I love the shell bucket!

The weather has continued to improve over the past several weeks with highs in the low 70's on a regular basis. We have even been able to leave the windows open at night with no need for the heater in the morning. In other words, it is Pretty Damn Nice indeed.

We will spend another two weeks at Jalama and leave on Easter Sunday, and head east towards Las Vegas. Surprisingly, we both feel ready to leave and go explore new things. I think the kitties will miss our soothing spot at the beach, however, and I am not too sure they are ready to travel again.
