|We packed up the car for our trip to Fort Myers. We had lunch with Larry and Lynnie at Pancho's Villa in San Antonio, FL. Lynnie was in tears when we parted, but again said how grateful she was that we were there when her mom died since it really helped her to get through the shock of it all. Hopefully, they will find someone to take care of the animals and come to Fort Myers for a couple of days away from it all.
We arrived in Fort Myers around 3:30 p.m., went to the realtor to get the keys and unloaded the car. No sooner did we get everything in the house than we were invited to join Jude and Roy Slaper and Patty and Jim Waugh at Happy Hour in the quad with the Slapers' friends from the past several years they've been coming here. It's a group of people from various states who spend anyplace from one month to 6 months in Cinnamon Cove. They all live in villas that surround a grassy quad with a palapa and patio area in the middle that they use for happy hours and parties. After happy hour, we went to dinner at Doc Ford's Beach House restaurant with the Slapers and the Waughs.
We were exhausted and called it a night after dinner.
