If you're heading down from the mountains and back to the heat, you may as well head for the beach!
As we arrive at the ferry port to take us to Pulau Pangkor (Pangkor island) there is a boat disgorging what seems to be hundreds of passengers with massive amounts of luggage. "Are you sure this is the quiet, locals island?" we both asked ourselves without saying anything.
Once we disembarked our ferry, our pink mini cab driver drove us to Teluk Nipah, our home for the next few days. "Is there even anyone here?" we both asked ourselves without saying anything. After Julia located a fabulous resort, with a great swimming pool at a price ($25)that seemed to keep going down every time she tried to confirm the price, we headed to the pool, then the beach, then Daddy's Cafe for a beer on the beach to watch the sunset on the Straits of Malacca and both thought "it could take a while to extract ourselves from this place", without saying a word!
