Off to Croatia

We drove from Italy into Slovenia for lunch and then into Croatia. After a bit of a wrong turn (the Garmin did'nt work very well in Croatia) we made it to Karlobag. This is a night's rest on the way down to Dubrovnik. The water looked and felt beautiful. It was good to see the ocean. We would stay here for 4 nights after Dubrovnik.

Getting to Dubrovnik from Karlobag was generally a drive along the coast. At one stage though we passed through a border crossing and entered Bosnia and Herzegovina for about 10km or so before entering Croatia again. We eventually found our apartment. It was small but nice. The parking and roads were very tight and we planned on not driving the next few days. It had a great view!

We had a quick visit walking down some stairs into the walled city

We explored a bit of the city and had a swim in the nearby beach, but it took a bit longer on the way back. There were nearly 300 steps back to our apartment!!
