We woke up in New Orleans ready to hit the road with the rain falling from the sky again. The day didn't get any better. It rained so much I thought we were going to have to make the RV into an ark.
Because of the nasty wet weather, we decided to keep the tourist stuff to a minimum and just keep driving and hopefully make these stops on the way back...without rain.
We crossed the Mississippi River and Lafayette, Louisiana. We made a pit stop looking for the Edison Museum which was a room in the Lafayette Power Company. This put an end to our touristing for sure....we drove on.
We made it to Houston, Texas and the rain was still coming down hard. We flew right on by the city heading west. We made it about half way to San Antonio and decided to call it a day. We made it to Weimar, Texas and stopped at the KOA of Columbus. The campground was a big waterpuddle. The dogs had to walk in water and poop in the puddles there was so much water.
The WiFi didn't work at the campground so I had to delay this posting until later.
We woke up early in the morning with fog (but no rain) so we headed out to San Antonio.
