The Browns and MacCara's at the New Glasgow Lobster Supper

Lobster Dinner

Wood Island Lighthouse, PEI

Scott and Wendy at the Lobster Supper

The Island is picturesque and friendly. We had one day of rain and, fortunately, that was the day I had booked our matinee for the Anne of Green Gables musical in Charlottetown. A first class production that all of us really enjoyed.

We got James registered for the classes he wanted at Cap Univ. over the internet. We visited the Founders Hall and took an audio tour. Of course, BC wasn't in the picture yet, along with the prairies and the northern territories ... no wonder Ontario thinks they're the centre of the universe. It was interesting to hear how hospitality played a major role in the delegates coming together and agreeing in principle on unifying into "Canada". It wasn't until they had shared a week of dinners and parties that an agreement was reached.

We met up with the MacCara family at a New Glasgow Lobster Supper and experienced (all you can eat) mussels, salads, chowder, lobster and desserts. Delicious and very filling ! After dinner we took a drive to Clinton to a ceildah, which was a gathering of fiery fiddles and step dancing by the quirky Sky Family. I won't say any more, but the experience has given us hours of entertainment since. A night that we will not soon forget.
