We all slept late this morning to make up for the miserable drive back to the campground last night from the Labrador ferry. After breakfast, we drove to Daniel’s Harbor to the public library to get WIFI. Frankie needed to enroll for his third year law classes at Memphis State University at exactly 9:00am Memphis, Tennessee time (11:30am here) to ensure that he got the classes he wanted.

From here we drove to Gros Morne National Park and hiked 3 or 4 miles of trails. After hiking, we drove into Rocky Harbor for supper. We wanted Moose burgers and all the trimmings so we went to Earle’s Restaurant who is known for his world famous Moose burgers. We could have had Moose Subs, Moose Stew, Moose Pizza, Moose Pie, Moose meat sandwich or Moose burgers. Lois chose to have a salad and fish chowder but Frankie and I chose the fully loaded Moose burgers with fries and gravy on the fries. Ummm boy, that was good eating!!

On the way back to the campground, we stopped at the Arches Provincial Park. Here we found rock arch formations that had been shaped by the winds and tides for over a 1000 years. We watched a beautiful sunset here that had only a few small clouds.

We’ll probably try to find a part of the International Appalachian Trail system in the morning and hike to a waterfall if it isn’t too far. If it is, we will hike to Brooks Falls in Gros Morne National Park.
