We woke up this morning to rain and it looks like it may be here for awhile. We will hook-up the car in the rain and move on up the eastern sea shore of Nova Scotia. We are not sure where we will park tonight, it all depends on how far we can get. The drive along the eastern shore will be slow but will be scenic. We didn't get in until almost midnight last night, way past our bedtime, as the International Tattoo performance was about 3.5 hours in length. We don't know how to describe the show, other than WOW!! It was probably the most spectacular show we have ever seen. Precision marching bands from all over the world, gymnastics, singers, dancers, motorcycles and some comedy. It was a sell-out and we had fairly good seats. Wish we could have taken pictures, but cameras were not allowed and would never do it justice anyway. The precision band from the United States was excellent and their rendition of Yankee Doodle Dandy was a big hit. They were dressed in 1700 era uniforms and were very good. Lots of goosebumps here!!! Of course, the Nova Scotia Highlanders Bags and Drums corps were hard to beat. It was worth the trip to Nova Scotia just for this show. Note: Addition to today's entry: We crossed the causeway into Cape Breton Island about 4:00 this afternoon, we drove to a campground in Baddeck, Nova Scotia, located just outside the entrance to Cape Breton National Park. We are within 40 miles of the Newfoundland Ferry so we will probably stay here for several days. Sorry, but no pictures today as it has been rainy and foggy most of the day.
