Last one!!

Today we visited Carmel by the Sea for a quickie visit and then drove the 26 mile scenic drive to Big Sur. I can see why Clint Eastwood lives in Carmel, it is beautiful. The water is a gorgeous blue color and the beach is sandy and inviting. We didn't stay long because our main goal was the drive to Big Sur. We have seen some fantastic views of the Pacific, but this place takes the cake. :-) It was spectacular!

We stopped along the way and had a nice picnic and just took in the beauty. We visited a gift shop called Loma Vista Bakery and Spirit Garden. It was one of the most unusual places we have visited. It had a beautiful garden including a ton of cacti plants that were huge. They had some really unusual works of art on display. The area is just so beautiful I went crazy taking pictures and had a hard time narrowing them down to around 50. I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story. More later from California.
