Banning Pass, snowy San Gorgonio Mtn.

Green winter mountains from the snow & rain

Snow capped San Bernardino Mountains

Just thought I'd show people from other states that So. California is not just a desert and a big suburb. The photo of the Banning Pass, or valley, with snow capped San Gorgonio Mountain is the view we have as we descend the mountain from Silent Valley campground going down into Banning.

The local mountains, that are mostly brown through the summer and dried out, were bright green with growth from the rains and snows. On clear days like this you understand why people come to California.

The third photo is heading home towards Orange County on the freeway looking at the snowy San Bernardino Mountains.
