|ALEXANDRA HEADLAND: April 17 Headed south on the A1-Bruce Highway, the main north/south highway on the east coast of Australia. Still very hilly, beautiful green vegetation as there has been well above average rainfall during this year's wet season in this area. As we head for our caravan park on the Sunshine Coast, a popular Australian holiday destination we look forward to exploring its coastal beaches and towns. But for now it's pleasant to be travelling on a smooth, four-lane highway after 1000+ kms of narrow two lane roads(sometimes only one paved) through the mountains. We soon arrive at Alexandra Headland, just south of Maroochydore at a lovely caravan park located only one block from the beach and are pleased to be staying in one spot for a week and hopefully finding some time to relax.
