Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!

It's Christmas Eve and we've had a wonderful, busy day, cooking and baking and wrapping and preparing to spend special time with family and friends over the next few days. We attended a candlelight service at 5:30pm and enjoyed singing and worshiping our Lord and Savior. I love the candle lighting part when the lights are dimmed, and one by one we light each others. And singing all of the beautiful, traditional songs. Awesome...

After the service we returned home to spend the rest of the evening with Cindy and Bill, Larry and Tawnia and of course Larry and Bonnie. And the children Bailey, Megan and Jasmine. What fun watching the joy and wonder of the children. Jasmine was absolutely fascinated with all of the lights and presents. In fact, she actively helped open hers! I have never seen a 6 month old tear into the wrapping paper as well as she did!

We baked a ham and had coleslaw, macaroni salad, artichoke dip, spinach dip, deviled eggs and the list goes on. I made a new recipe for me, sausage and cream cheese stuffed mushrooms. Baked for 20 minutes, served hot, delicious...a keeper for sure! Followed with pie for dessert. Wow, I ate entirely too much. But Christmas only comes around once a year, right!

It is now after 1am and I need to hit the sack. Santa comes early tomorrow! Merry Christmas!
