The big news around here is SNOW! The valley has not had this much snow since 1973! Pretty to look at, not much fun to drive in. We met our friend Warren for lunch this afternoon and as we were visiting, we noticed that it was snowing outside. It continued the entire time we were there. We spent a couple of more hours away from home and got caught with really poor road conditions, making it take forever to get back home. We had no problem with our 4 wheel drive, but that was certainly not the case for most folks. Cars and trucks alike were fishtailing all over the place, with many cars just plain stuck. Heard on the news that there were lots of accidents and many parked cars were hit right where they sat. Bummer....

The Christmas program we were planning to attend was cancelled, as were the schools. Unfortunately, Vegas is not prepared for this type of weather. The city does not own one snow plow! So the streets are what they are until the sun comes out again and takes care of melting it off. The temperature remained at around 32, so it really wasn't that cold. Well, until you stand outside in it for awhile without a jacket on. Which is exactly what happened, as Bill & Bailey showed up unannounced, hitting the front door with snowballs. When we investigated to see 'what that was?', we all got nailed with cold, wet white stuff! The snowballs were flying after that! What fun memories we'll have of this night....

Today is my niece KenAnn's birthday, so Happy Birthday honey, Uncle Larry and I love you tons!
