We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Capitol District of the Great State of New York. We toured the Capitol Building the day of the local, state and regional Truck Drivers who were there to protect the High Price of Gas. They were loud and demonstrated throughout most of the morning. We were able to tour to the top of the Corning Glass Building and wow what great views and sites from there. The whole Capitol Mall area was well designed and clean and active with lunchtime crowds. We toured as much of the "Egg" (see pictures) as possible and saw as many of the 20 different statues and monument areas near the capitol as possible. We has great local food from drive-ins to Thai and from pizza to the local traditional country breakfast place near our hotel called "Grandma's Place". Hope you enjoy the pictures and go see Albany and the surrounding area towns when your in New York State.
