More fishing

Sunday, September 28, 2008 Chris and April Cummings home, Pulaski, NY

It is Sunday and we have had a most relaxing day. After attending church with the Cummings, we all came to our “house” for Sunday lunch and then the menfolk donned their wadders and cast their lines into the river behind the house while April and the children took me on a walking tour of the village of Pulaski. We simply walked a block to the bridge that is across the Salmon River and watched the lines of fishermen trying to catch that big King! We wandered across the town square and then strolled up one side of the block and then down the other. It was a good time to get to know the children better and just enjoy a leisurely afternoon. When we returned about an hour or so later, the fishermen had not caught anything…the river was “high” and the water was awfully “fast”.

It was soon time for our usual Sunday night meal…snacks…cheese, crackers, fruit, cookies….and then time for the children to get baths and ready for bed so they could be ready to meet and greet the new week at school.

Night all!
