|Geoff was up at early to see if there was a cancellation for the Great White Shark trip! He was in luck and I dropped him off at the harbour just before the boat left at 9am! It was nearly a tearful surprise not knowing if he was going to make it back after swimming with the sharks but I was over it pretty quickly! I had a lovely relaxing morning. After my leisurely breakfast I wandered around the town and found a brilliant 2nd hand bookshop which I spent ages in! I left with 3 books and was pretty pleased with myself! I then cruised the shops and enjoyed a cup of tea at a coffee shop while reading my book! All of a sudden it was nearly 1pm so I raced down to the harbour to collect Geoff. I waited for nearly an hour but it wasn’t a hard job as I chilled out reading my book in the sun by the sea! When the boat came in Geoff jumped off all in one piece... Unfortunately they didn’t even get in the water as the sharks didn’t come out to play. They saw one circling but it wasn’t anywhere close to the boat. Geoff got a voucher to go out again so he will drive back in a few days to have another go! From there we went and got our bags from the B&B and stopped back at the nice coffee shop for some lunch. We also picked up some meat and veges for a BBQ as we had booked into a backpackers in Storms River Village that had self-catering facilities. Yes, our first stay at a backpackers so far!! We had a great drive there along the coast which took just over 2 hours. The huge house we stayed in was great, we had a nice area with room and en-suite. There were a few other rooms but we had it to ourselves for the first night apart from the owners sleeping in the attic!! We enjoyed a BBQ in the evening while watching the sun go down over the mountains, it was brilliant!
