Lighthouse on St. Peter's Is.

Westport, Briern Is.

AUGUST 8th.

We took a day trip along the Neck of Digby, a narrow peninsula of the mainland. Our trip consisted of taking two short ferry rides all great fun.We stopped of at many of the coves and little fishing villages. The first island Long Is. is 18km. long had a few lighthouses we stopped at. The next island Brier Is. not so big only about 8kms. but very interesting. The girl at the ferry help station said she was related to everyone on the island one way or another so we figured not to many people on the island. We were surprised it was quite populated all either in the fishing or tourist industry. At one of the lighthouse stops a fellow was watching the whales with binoculars so we got ours out and watched for a while we had quite a show. To bad not with the naked eye no pictures. All in all a great ride.
