C.G. Near Dawson Creek

Today we left Edmonton heading for the Alaskan Highway. Terri saw a female moose coming out of the woods this morning. First moose on the trip. Saw the 2nd longest wooden railway trestle in the world. CNR Rochfort Bridge 2,414 ft. Long, built in 1914 (see picture) We spent the night in a District Campground in Pouce Coupe just 8 miles from Dawson Creek. Went into Dawson Creek to Mile Post “0” for pictures. Walked around town and went to the Alaska Hotel for a drink. Very old Hotel where workers stayed during the building of the Alcan Hwy. Watched Red Wings lose to the Penguins. Red Wings have to try again on Wednesday. GO Wings.
