Camp, Campaspe River

Turned east from Hughenden, heading for the coast. Only 150kms before our chosen campsite on the Campaspe River. Even after 50kms the scenery and countryside has changed dramatically, we now have tall lush trees and green road verges. And we now have corners to go around and hills to go up...much more enjoyable driving. Even the road is getting better. A mountain range is appearing in the distance.

Arrived at our camp about 5pm.....seems lots of camping people have the Camp Australia 4 book, already 3 other vehicles here, but still plenty of room. Got set up, heated some water for the bush shower and went off to find some secluded bush for a shower. Next was a feed of bangers and mash....Glenn's special mash no less.

Had the dishes done by 6.30pm......might try and see if we have enough laptop power to watch a dvd
