|The morning after my sailing trip I was up early again in search of breakfast before catching the Oz bus. I walked into McDonald's and someone intentionally bumped into me - turned out it was Nathan! We caught up over breakfast and then I was off again.
This time my travels have landed me on Magnetic Island. It's a 20 minute ferry ride from Townsville (my next stop) and there is literally nothing to do here but enjoy the island's 320 annual days of sunshine. I'm staying at a fantastic backpackers resort right on the beach. There is a nice deep salt water pool, a wide open porch/cafe/bar overlooking the ocean, and gorgeous views everywhere you look. I'm living in my bikini at this point. I'm staying in the part of the resort known as "Sanctuary" which is a small group of all female dorm rooms with our own private bathroom, Aveda bath products, and fluffy white duvets. It's the most hotel-like place I have stayed and is absolute heaven!
That's about all I have to report from here. Like I said, it's nothing but laying out in the sunshine and swimming all day.
I have finally added pictures to my last 4 entries - enjoy!
