I have lost the mental energy to churn out another description dripping with details and memories. I can only say the facts. After the road trip around Ireland I flew to London for one night. Walked the city and saw the British Museum. Amazing. Walked to Big Ben the famous clock tower seen in Peter Pan and 101 Dalmations and thousand other places where its made a cameo appearance. Saw Piccadilly Circus and even other unnamed marvels of the most expensive city in the world.
From London I flew back to san dona italy. Stayed with the same brother there and went to Verona. Popular for the casa di guilietta. The juliet of Romeo. Few other things there but that was the biggest. From verona I went to Florence and saw a museum and an enormous church i cant remember the name of made of patterned marble all around and inside. Saw the courtyard of the famous Museum Uffizi but didnt have time to go inside. A missed oppurtunity. From florence a train to rome. So far I have seen Ostia Antica. One of the oldest roman sea and river port. Both receeded and landlocked the place . Well preserved and even better than Pompeii for seeing the everyday life of ancient rome. Next day went to the appian way. Explored the oldest catacombs of san sebatstino. Amazing. Saw the chariot circus track and the ruts left in the stone road from countless carts. Next day saw roman forum the colliseum and the arch of constantine. the spanish steps the trevi fountain. walked everywhere saw many things but will show pics later. no time now. see you at home! thanks for following me.
