Bow Shot of El Cid this afternoon

Had to take this pic. I hope SOMEBODY we know won't be...

When we left Zihuatenejo 2 months ago we were a little disappointed to turn around and see some of the same sights as we returned north. Manana we leave La Marina El Cid Resort in Mazatlan for new (to us) destinations. We have heard so much about La Paz and the Sea of Cortez we are getting excited. The weather there is slightly warmer in the day, about 86 but cooler at night. As we make the southern crossing which amounts to a 30 hour overnight passage we hope for fair winds and calm seas. This stretch of pacific can be treacherous but current predictions are good. If we were superstitious, we would not leave on a Friday as this superstition is a big no-no for sailors. I think I will say a prayer just to be on the safe side...

Mazatlan has been fun and we look forward to returning again someday. We have had all our mechanical work completed and we now sport a generator once again that works (for now) and 3 more solar panels. So, the power plant functions of our home are looking good as of now. We have decided that our Fischer-Panda generator's pet name is Pandora. Guess why? It is our hope we will be laying up here again next year without generator problems. We will be sharing more stories soon from the Sea of Cortez! Adios.
