We arrived safe and sound back from our 3 day trek a little sore, a little tired, but very happy. We trekked with Green Discovery, and our guides were two great guys, Phet and Phawn. We visited a Khmu village and an Akha village, and stayed the first night in a forest camp constructed by the Khmu, and the second night in a lodge in the old Akha village. Their village was moved about two years ago from their old location, because it was in the middle of a national park. They moved closer to the road and also closer to town - the villagers still trek the two hour walk back to the old site every now and then to take old house timbers and stuff to the new location.

We've had a bit of time to update some stuff; check out the second set of photos from Siem Reap ("Day at the Temples"), and we wrote a bit more about our stay in Luang Prabang.

Tomorrow we head out to Huay Xai, where we will stay a night, and then on to Chiang Mai in Thailand for a number of days.
