Knysna to Tsitsikamma National Park

A short driving day today. We returned to the Knysna waterfront before leaving. I uploaded all photos to date as we had a good internet connection. Sally and a couple of other supershoppers spent money while I uploaded.

The drive to Tsitsikamma was through wooded areas. Lots of blooming heather along the roadways, but light rain was falling so photos didn't come out well. Also we had lots of wind as we have come to expect along the coast. Arriving at Tsitsikamma we found a gorgeous rocky seashore with huge waves breaking. Our sites were on the edge of a small bluff overlooking the breaking waves. Delightful. We had lunch at the park restaurant overlooking the Indian Ocean and then walked out the boardwalk toward a suspension brigde, but that feature was not to be had. Rock slides had wiped out portions of the boardwalk and they were in the process of rebuilding. Photos show the method of transport to get construction materials out to the site.

We spent a leisure afternoon enjoying the breaking waves with a social hour at the end of the day. We walked back to the restaurant for supper and saw lots of Daiis (small marmot like animal) along the way. The sound of the waves made for good sleeping.
