narrow street near the Cathedral

Street in the Albacin ( old moorish town) with allhambra in the...

Snow on the sierra nevadas

Mocabre ceiling in Nazrid Palace

Part of the Alcazaba

This is a great place, full of people from evry Spanish speaking nation on the planet.

The town centre is very interesting as it is a mixture of Moorish and Christian buildings, the area round the Cathedral is a mini souk but then the Cathedral as once a Mosque!

The Ahambra is well worth a visit but as visitor numbers each day are limited you need to book yur tickets in advance, the microbus ride from Plaza Nueva is well worth the 1 euro each way, the bus hurtles up through the narrow streets and seems to freewheel down for most of the return journey.

It is not as cold as we expected, about 18c during the day but there is a thick frost at night, our site is full of skiers and snowboarders wo go off up the mountains during the day!
