|We arrived at Krabi Airport at about 9:30 a.m. on November 12 having left Bangkok at 8:00 a.m. that morning.....we were met at the airport by a driver sent from the hotel holding a sign "Patryk"....we figured that it had to be us he was looking for. Our hotel was called the Srisuksant Resort.....located at Ao Nang, a small village of some 12 thousand people on the Indian Ocean with Hat Noppharat Beach at it's doorstep. The tsunami of 2004 did some damage, most of which has since been repaired. The area was dotted with limestone mountains and islands similar to those we saw at Yangshuo, China and Halong Bay, Vietnam. We were at a relatively secluded end of the village and the beach itself was not "WOW" and although there were several activities available including various tours, elephant trekking, sea kayaking, diving and snorkeling, none of which really interested us, we spent the bulk of our time at the hotel catching up on our travel blog interspersed with a few walks around the area in which we found a couple of really good restaurants where we sampled delicious Thai curries and seafood dishes....
