Today we made our way back over to the bus terminal where we caught a bus up to Victoria Peak, hoping that the smog would not hamper the views too much....we looked out from the top of the peak to the buildings of Hong Kong's financial district in the distance...... after a dim sum lunch we took the Victoria Peak Tram back down to the bottom and then took the MTR over to the antique street area of Hong Kong at Ladder Street and Hollywood Road where we wandered thru yet another street market filled with bric a brac and other knick knacks that I'm not sure anyone would ever buy, but the vendors keep bringing their wares back, hoping that someone has a need for whatever it is they have to sell. We also visited the Man Mo Temple along Hollywood Road, one of the oldest and most famous temples in Hong Kong. This temple is dedicated to two deities, a 3rd century BC Chinese statesman by the name of Man Cheung, worshipped as the god of literature and depicted holding a writing brush and a 2nd century AD soldier, Kwan Yu, worshipped as the god of war and represented holding a sword. We returned to the area of our hotel and wandered about the streets looking for a neat place to eat, settling on a Vietnamese restaurant where the food was excellent and good value. We returned to our room and got packed up as tomorrow we head for Thailand......
