Fall River near Aspenglen campground

Fall River

I got up early again today to go looking for another National Park campground and I found one. Aspenglen is nearly as nice as Moraine Park campground and it is first come, first served. No reservations at this campground. They can handle rigs up to 40 ft and I saw several rigs leaving while visiting this morning. The ranger said that if I get there between 8 and 10 tomorrow I'll probably have several choices. I'll be there. Fall River pictured above runs right thru the campground. There are lots of trails in case I get frisky and decide to explore. I intend to stay for 7 days which is the maximum allowable. All this for $10 per nite, which is half of the regular price of $20. There are some advantages to getting older. Take note that I said older, not old!

My front A/C unit started making strange, loud, unfamiliar noises a while ago so I've contacted an RV repairman who lives in the campground and he's coming by at 4:00 to check it out. Hopefully it's a fan or a bearing and not a bad A/C unit. I'll know soon. I've made my peace with the fact that these kind of things are going to happen with some regularity. That's the price that I have to pay for mobility and I'm willing to pay it.

This next week in the National Park campground with be a real test of my on board internet WiFi system. So far it has worked everywhere that I've been, but I've not been anywhere as remote as I'll be next week. If you don't hear from me for a week you'll know what happened. I'll continue to take pictures and post again once back in civilization.

Well, if seems to me like a great time for an afternoon nap!!
