|Hi all. Well, here goes...the first entry. I'm writing this from my seat in a very shining new 747-400s courtesy of BA. I've often wondered what the 's' stands for...it's certainly not 'small'.
Anyway, we didn't get to bed until 2am this morning, only to have that insane alarm clock wake us again at 5. Still, someone's taking care of us, we've just been upgraded to business class...start as u mean to go on eh?. :-)
Today is the beginning of our South America tour & the culmination of months of planning. It's amazing we actually got this far, I still have to pinch Fiona, to get the dead arm, to know it's all real!!!
Ah, I almost forgot, Thank You for visiting our little smidgen of cyberspace. Let me introduce myself, I'm Marcel, & my travel buddy, my wife, Fi. Both 30 something, taking another career break for 4 months, to explore more of this beautiful gem rock situated 3rd in line from the sun.
I was, until relatively recently, rather confined to the Saxon Isle, all bar the occasional 2 weeker in the sun. That all changed when we had the opportunity to live/work in Shanghai. Hence an opening of eyes to a wider world to be explored.
So as this plane rolls out to the southern runway at Heathrow, and we leave England behind, I think for us anyway, the letter 's' is for San jose, next stop...Costa Rica. M ;=)
