How to recharge batteries

We're definitely back on the beaten track now! Nerja, a beach resort on the Costa del Sol, is a typical Mediterranean beach resort with lots of British tourists. Some people don't like this kind of place but it is exactly what we were looking for after being immersed in Northern Spain. Communication is no longer an effort! We're staying at another Parador, this one is a modern building on a cliff overlooking the beach with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. It is hot and sunny and although the sea is still a bit too cool for us, the pool is perfect. So we're recharging our batteries by reading, swimming, doing the odd run when it cools down in the evening and enjoying the wide variety of food that is available (especially seafood paella cooked in a huge pan over an open fire on the beach!).

It is hard to believe that we've been gone for close to 2 months and will leaving for home in a week. After our break at the beach we are ready for a bit more site seeing before we leave. Tomorrow we head to Toledo, then Madrid and finally London and home. We'll try for one more update before we get home.
