This morning we headed back down to the ferry port and made arrangements for our return journey to Holyhead for Thursday. After that we took the DART train from Dun Laoghaire into Dublin where we went on a recommended city bus tour which quite neat and gave us insight to the highlights of the city.....the year 2000 Millennium Project (which they didn't complete until 2003) which is supposed to be a knitting needle in a testament to their Aran sweater exports and is called the Monument of Light which extends quite a distance into the atmosphere and has a tip which is a beacon light in the night sky, the O'Connell monument, Trinity College, Christ Church Cathedral and its attached Dublina, St. Patrick's Cathedral as well as many other cathedrals in the city, Dublin Castle, the Brazen Head Pub (the oldest pub in Dublin), the Jameson Distillery and the Guinness Brewery which comprises 66 acres in the middle of the city (the complex is absolutely huge!!!!!!). After the tour we walked around the city centre for a couple of hours going back to a couple of the tour sights we had already seen and jumped back on the tour bus once more to refresh our memories of what we had seen earlier. We returned to Dun Laoghaire by DART train and after walking down on the pier watching a number of dogs frolicking in the Irish Sea with their owners close at hand and some people swimming (we didn't have the nerve to stick our toes in the water as it looked way to cold), we chatted with a few people on the pier and then returned to Marina House for the night....until later....
