Well as the story begins, I made it. I made it through a 25 hour long travel journey to get to Bangalore, India. And what a journey it was. Actually, to put it technically, I left my apartment at 7:30 am on May 20th and I got to my hotel at 2:00 am on May 21st. So, from the 11 ½ time difference, that makes it 1:30 pm MST. That is about 30 hours of travel, flight, and airports. Whew. The flight to Atlanta was short and sweet compared to the other two flights I had. There really is not much to report about my flight to Atlanta...wait the crackers and cheese snack they gave us was really yummy. LOL. I had a pretty good chicken quesadilla from a place at the Airport too. I had all window seats on my flights, at my request. The 9 hour flight from Atlanta to Frankfurt, Germany was not too bad, amazingly. I actually knew it wasn't going to be so bad when each seat had its own TV and I found that there was an episode of "The Office" to choose from viewing and several games to choose from including 'Bejeweled." I watched a movie called "Because I said So" and it was pretty cute...definitely a chic flick though. The plane was pretty big too. It had 3 seats by each window and then 3 seats in the aisle. And lucky enough, I was by the window, no one was in the middle seat, and a lady was at the aisle seat. We didn't talk, but it was nice to have the little extra room so I didn't mind. I napped a little bit, but it difficult to do so, but a little was better than none. Once I got to Frankfurt, I didn't know where to go inside the airport. I did find a map on the internet before I went, but it didn't help me out too much. You see, I needed to get a boarding pass to my flight to Bangalore. My first two flights were delta, and the flight to Bangalore was Lufthansa. Well, long story short, I finally found the transfer check in counter for Lufthansa thanks to a nice airport personnel person and another individual I found that was on the same flight. I was happy to have a 2 hour layover there as the check in line was one of the slowest lines I had been in for a long time. It took about an hour to get through the line. Once I got on the plane to Bangalore, I felt exhausted. By that time it was about 20 hours in my travel and didn't get much napping. So as soon as I was on the plane, I took a nap, and I must have slept pretty good because I wasn't too tired when I woke up for dinner a couple hours later. This plane was the same size as the plane to Germany and luckily there was no one in the middle seat on this flight too, so that was nice again. I had a hard time sleeping on that flight. I was nervous about the Bangalore airport. I had heard so many horror stories about the airport and people taking bags and chaos and whatnot that I was not looking forward to it. But once I got there and through customs, I must have not ran into anything that anyone else ran into, because it was quite normal. The airport was really small to. I hear it is a temporary building while a new one is being built. In fact, it was less chaotic then the airport at Cancun when I went a few years ago. My luggage took forever to come, but finally it came and I was relieved. I changed some currency, found my driver and got to the hotel safely. The temperature right now outside is quite nice and I can tell a little humidity difference, but it is not too bad. My room is really cute, I think anyways. I posted some pictures of it. And the website for it is http://hometel.co.in/radhahometel.html if you want to check it out. I am not sure what I am going to do tomorrow. Probably wonder about and around the hotel and relax because it is going to be hectic once works starts. I don't have to go to work until Wednesday evening. So, I guess I will decide that tomorrow and will go to bed now because it has been a long day. Until later...take care!
