The Stancliff Adventure travel blog

This was taken right behind our camper.

This is the reason we didn't get to see the Giant Sequoia...

After a couple of days recuperating from the cruise, washing up all the dirty clothes, retrieving Cheyenne and Miss Kitty, it was time to leave the LA area. We headed north to Sequoia National Park on Tuesday, April 17. We got up early on Wednesday and headed up to the park. We noticed that it was really cold and windy the closer we got to the park and when we got about 10 miles into the park it started snowing and snowing really hard. We decided since Cheyenne was in the back of the truck that we would just wait until the next day to go into the park. Unfortunately it had snowed a couple of feet up in the park and we weren't able to go back. We were scheduled to be in the Stockton area for the Escapees Spring Escapade and had to leave. Oh well, there's always next time.
